Anyone have good recommendations for a beer festival in the Mid-Atlantic or East coast? I'm trying to build a fall vacation around one if possible. I'm hoping for something in a city that is pretty easily accessible by walking/talking mass transit. Looking at Boston, but it doesn't seem like there's anything of note going on (would love to make it to Extreme Beer Fest one of these years though). I'm based in Pittsburgh if that helps.

I went to Snallygaster last year and thought it was cool. Would highly recommend doing the VIP so that you get the rare offerings (CBS, Grey Monday, etc). It's right at Nats Park, the Metro goes there.

Although I look to try to get to a few more/research a few more. I don't know how late into fall you are speaking...but there is one at Citizen's Bank Park in Philly on the first or second week of September...and there is another (that is the only one I've been to) in Valley Forge, PA called the Valley Forge Beer & Cider Festival. Which, without traffic, is only about 25 to 30 minutes outside of Philly. And there are a couple hotel options that are either walkable, or if too far for your walk often run shuttles to the fest..I've always had great time!

This looks pretty good - East Coast technically but in St Pete's Florida - Oct 16/17
You would have to fly into Tampa and then shuttle over to St Pete's but I think it would be worth it.

Especially since the following will be in attendance:

    Hill Farmstead
    Westvleteren
    Cantillon
    Tree House

I'd have to third Captain Lawrence Sour'd in September, amazing event last year.
EBF is amazing as well. Definitely going back this year.

Excited for Capt Lawrence. I grabbed the VIP, $20 for an extra hour and at shirt is a deal.

I'll also be returning to EBF, by far one of the best fests around and I'm not just saying that because it's run by this site. The list of beers for EBF this year was ridiculous.

Missed ebf this year, had a wedding to go to, but I went the year before. It was just amazing.

Worth 20 bucks for the shirt and special taster glass. Use mine all the time.
