So is there any beer out there flavored with chicory root? Seems like it might be a good thing to try if so. Sorry if this isn't where this question goes.
Lakewood Brewing Company in Dallas brews a version of their delicious milk stout Temptress called "French Quarter Temptress" that is brewed with both coffee and chicory, and then aged in bourbon barrels. Supposedly quite a fantastic beer, although I haven't had it quite yet.
Cigar City Chickory Dickory Choc, it may have been a one off, but probably my favorite (maduro based) brown ale.
It's not retired, but it is no longer available in 4 packs (tap only). I'm pretty bummed out about it too, as that is easily one of my favorite stouts.
DFH brews so many beers, that they occasionally have to put some on "hiatus." It's popular enough that it'll probably be back in full production in a year or two.
