I know there's a beer for beer and a breweriana for breweriana forum, what if I'm looking to trade beer for breweriana, is that okay to post? Not trying to break any rules...apologies if this has been addressed previously
I see no con, I'm sure it already occurs underground anyways. Keeping separate forums isn't bad though, maybe alter it a bit to trading for beer, or trading for glass so you don't get too bogged down in looking at things you aren't interested in.
I don't see a problem with it personally. I think it gets done quite a bit anyway. As long as both parties are happy, let it go.

I think it belongs in the breweriana section. As long as some breweriana is involved (and not nominally) than its cool, but I don't think it should be in the beer for beer section.
I just completed a few glass-for-beer trades. Posted in Breweriana forum. People who collect glasses usually want beer.. People who have beer don't always want glasses.
Actually, if we are going as far to say Beer for Breweriana is ok, I'd also like to include Beer for Homebrew equipment.
I can't saw whether it happens frequently or not, but I am in the middle of doing a large beer for homebrew equipment trade offline right now.
