What beers do you routinely have available? Do you have a solid standby that is a year round occupant in your Fridge or do your BFS's change like the seasons?

Personally, I typically have 3 six packs featuring different styles. My BFS's rotate with the seasons but I find that I always have an IPA no matter what time of year. Currently I have a 6er of Celebration.

The 2nd 6er is something that corresponds with the season/temp. As it is late fall, I go with something roasty and dark. Devils Backbone Schwartz Bier is currently stocked.

In the summer months the 2nd 6er is usually a Lager (Prima Pils, SN Summerfest, Pikeland Pils, Sunshine Pils)

Around Fall I'll have Oktoberfests (4 pack of Ayinger or Hacker-Pschorr)

As the temps get cooler my Standbys get darker...Browns (DFH Indian Brown or Smutty Old Brown Dog), Porters (SN or Smutty Robust Porter) and Stouts (SN, Heavy Seas Peg Leg, Evolution Rise Up Stout).

My third 6er is almost always a mix 6. Variety is the spice of life! Those mix 6s usually are composed of seasonal offerings, new releases, beers that I have never had before, or beers that I enjoy now and then. My current mix 6 consists of an Abt 12, La Fin Du Monde, Old Engine Oil, Ten FIDY, Old Chub, and Fireside Chat.

What brews do you consider your Beer Fridge Staples?

I'll point out that my fridge beer is different than my cellar beer

When possible, I try to keep fresh Sucks around.

I try to keep some sort of stout in my fridge on a regular basis. I don't drink with great frequency (about a beer a week - on the weekends), so a 4 pack can last me about a month and 6 packs stretch even further.

Generally these have been in my fridge with more regularity than others:

Sam Smith Organic Chocolate Stout (year round)
    YDCS (year round)
    Ten FIDY (year round)
FBS (pick up a 4pk when it is released each season)

I've found that as I explore the wonderful world of beer even more the idea of having "staple" beers has faded for me a bit and now I have what i would call more along the lines of "frequent visitors". There are simply too many styles and types for me to always have one in particular on hand, but if my refrigerator had some frequent freezer program here are a few that would have racked up some serious points:

    Burton Baton
    FBS
    Tank 7
    La Fin Du Monde
    Two Hearted
    Duchesse De Bourgogne

i have Serria Nevada Plae ale and Victory Hopdevil on tap at all times in the house and I always have Gunniess on tap as well on Nitro . as far as in the bottle/cans i always have a good Stout. this time of year i have a crap load but normally i always have Milkstout from left hand or lancaster and Stromking as its a big imperal that is priced right in my area. been keeping dirtwolf in the bottle as well , would love to beable to start getting the dirtwolf on tap as well to switch out with the Hopdevil...

I typically have 2 to 4 staples in my fridge at all times.

Bale Breaker Field 41 Pale Ale
    Bale Breaker Top Cutter IPA
    Lagunitas Pilsner
    Shiner Bock

Those are probably the beers I drink the most of each year and will satisfy the usual visitors to my house. Of course, I have a lot of other stuff in there, but these are the staples.

I always have a good pilsner for my 75-year old mother. Hardywood Pils as of late. Sixpoint The Crisp before that.

Lefthand milk stout is almost always in my fridge. As is Ten Fidy when it's available.
