I'm looking for opinions on what temp to keep the beer fridge at. I have a little of every type. IPA's, Porters, Stouts, Barleywines, Lagers, Pilsners, you name it. Thanks Lightman1

personally, I do standard fridge temp... cold. Reason being, the colder it is, the slower the hops fade for my prized DIPAs. Takes very little time to warm-up to your preferred drinking temp.

Are you looking to cellar them in said fridge or just preserve them for drinking in the near future?

My beer reefer runs 48-50. IPa's, PA's, Lagers I like a bit colder, so I pop them in the freezer for 10 minutes or so.

I just want to preserve them for the short term. But this could be several weeks or even a little longer. Thanks, Lightman1

I would say 38º-40º F. Any warmer and you're risking the food in there to spoil. If it's a dedicated fridge, then 42º. Many beers are drank at that temperature. The others, you can pull out and let them sit on the counter for a few or several minutes until they reach optimal drinking temperature.
If you want to cellar, I would suggest a wine cooler. I have one with two compartments with different temperature controls. I keep those at 52º and 58º F.

Thanks, Silver. Its a dedicated fridge, so food is not an issue. I'm running in the 38- 40 range and that seems to be fine. I just wanted a few opinions. Thanks, Lightman1
