Are these not permitted in some areas per the applicable/local Department of Health? I'm in NYS and to-date I've never seen one here. In other areas of the country they're everywhere though. Curious why these aren't more wide-spread.
Likewise at DeCicco's in Brewster. I think they are not more wide-spread because they aren't required.
If anything, they should be mandatory! They're fairly expensive from what I understand, but they've been popping up more often at bars that are more serious about properly serving beer (and even brewery tasting rooms - Carton Brewing, for example).
BXL in NYC has one, as does Water Street Brewing in Binghamton. Looks like they are legal in New York.
Thanks .... yeah these should definitely be required, along with the sanitation machines in lieu of dip-sinks --- but that's for another forum thread!
