Beer Goals for 2018

My goal is not to have a goal.

 

To drink every beer that Liquor Shed in Casper carries. Not literally, mind you.

 

My goal for 2018 was to continue doing as I've always done and I succeeded.

 

The year began as it will end: in the wintertime. My goal for the end of the year is to remember to bring my beer in from the garage fridge before it all freezes solid, like it did at the beginning of the year.

 

I'm trying to justify buying a fridge to keep at ~50F to use as a cellar. I already have a beer fridge but it runs colder than that. I want a dedicated long term storage fridge... maybe something interesting will be available black friday.

 

Mine was to get to 150 of the top 250. I was at 143 in August when they changed the way they rank. I'm now at 123 and 3 of those are 248-250. Sigh.

 

Could be worse...



I don't count a taster of a couple ounces as trying a beer which is partially why I am so low.

 

I'm slowly, but not so steadily, approaching my goal to review 100 beer places. I'm up to 90 right now with a review I need to write for the last bar I visited in NYC (place is still being added to the system).

Not sure how to review more. I guess I need to visit some more new shops.

 

Good point! None of mine have only been a few ounces. All are at least 8 ounces would be my guess. I'm working on it with a couple buddies and sometimes we have to share. If they are tough to come by or very expensive so splitting is necessary.

 

My current goal is to clean out much more than I put in in the winter months. I know that's only 1.66 months of 2018 but ive already started. my closet is so packed. I can barely walk in.

granted its also because I have some of my late fathers taxidermy that I have to sell in there also. The wife loves that.

 

I recently moved, and I'm within 5 miles of 3 of my favorite beer stores in the city. One is within walking distance. Needless to say, the area around my PC is loaded with beer. I need to stop visiting shops because I end up with a full mix six even though I walked in to buy maybe one or two bottles.

I'm going to try and drink it down before I start stopping at the store on my way home again.
