Now that I have keg beer at home...I'm beginning to have growler envy. I realize that these have really become common now that craft breweries will fill them up to-go. I've decided that this would be great to fill from my home kegerator for taking beer to a friend's (as opposed to stopping at the liquor store every time for a 6 pack).

I really like the Miir Growler http://www.miir.com/product_p/500283-285.htm but there is the Hydro Flask and others. The lid mechanism on the Miir makes sense to me for carbonated bevs. $60....but still interesting imo.

You are overthinking it. Just get a basic glass growler. Nothing is going to happen to the beer enroute to your friends house.

I was overthinking it when I added a tower cooler.....and double taps.....and tweaking the temps....now this? Bring me back to earth Doug!

Tower cooler isn't over thinking, that is required.

And just how will you find that location without GPS & WiFi? sheesh Also didn't see any mention of Bluetooth connectivity or USB charging ports . . . I mean we're talking premium beer here.

We are, and most major premium breweries growler their beer in traditional glass growlers, so how awful are they really?

I think glass growlers are great. I also think it is clear that glass is the most cost effective growler material. Surprised other posters don't appreciate the thermal benefits of the vacuum insulated stainless steel. These suckers would suit my needs wonderfully.

I think we understand, it isn't too complex. It may be more like we don't care.

Wonderful. I hope that you aren't the community relations director here at BA Doug. I assume that you believe that you speak for all forum members. I'll optimistically assume that not all first posters on BA receive a similar welcome!

I bow to your wisdom oh great one.
