After a few go-to beers from the fridge, the cellar starts to disappear

I had a Herfst in my cellar that I grabbed in Paris this past August. Opened it alone on a random Wednesday last month. So I guess my anxiety level is pretty low.

I don't really need a special occasion for a beer, but if it's a special one I want to make sure I'm in the mood for the specific style. I've made the mistake of popping open a nice BA Stout when I'm just not in the mood for it, and regretting it because I just wasn't in the right mood for something like that.

I need to start drinking myself :/ I'm out of room in my storage. It's not so much an issue of saving it for a special occasion (except my russian river sours, damn i love those) but all the BA bomber of barleywines, stouts etc..it's just hard for me to do 22-26 ounces of the same 10-11% beer. I used to be able to bring them down to my local bar and share, but those days are long gone.

Agree, that's why I'm drinking beers (and giving away some great ones) I've been saving for "just the right occasion". I always thought these trophies are going to be that much better than I can get at my local liquor store 24/7/365. Well, they're usually not.

See now partner, you and I would not get along. Im the kinda guy who buys beer to dress it up in latex inflation suits, slather it in warm mayo, and then take pictures of it. When Im done Im so disgusted with myself I ususally end up pouring it down the drain, or ditching the full bottles in a dark industrially-zoned parking lot in the cover of night.

Kidding. On the real though, I have a bit of a hoarding problem, but manage to keep my hoard pit under ~15-20 bottles.

I used to keep 5-6 cases of various things in my beer cellar. Know what I did with them? I drank them and never restocked it. Beer is meant to be drunk, not hoarded or dangled in front of someone so they can feel superior. It's just beer.
