It also sounds way over-priced. Can't find my receipt for it, but IIRC the "new" version from Wells & Young's was priced around $6/bottle when it first hit the US.

 

Yeah, and it's 4.00 a bottle here.

 

Believe it or not but that's probably less than half of what you'd pay in the UK.

 

Not exactly a beer story....

There was a spring fest-thing at my college. I had been drinking Busch most of the day until a "friend" walks up to my and asks if I want some Guinness and hands me a styrofoam cup. I drank. Turns out he was chewing tobacco and it was his spit cup.

 

Was rushed out of a liquor store at closing (costal liquors branford,ct) and grabbed a sixer of founders pale that was 6+ months old at the time. Still havent had a fresh one yet that beer is ruined in my mind .and I love founders. Horrifying

 

At 4.00 it is a solid beer, I wish I got to taste the earlier version referenced. 13.00 bucks is, to use our vernacular, a fucking ripoff.

 

After I finished off the 2nd 4pk of Hoptimum's I suddenly realized none of them seemed to have reproduced in my fridge like I was expecting. I was hoping to find this when I opened my fridge one afternoon. Imagine the Horror ! All out of fresh Hoptimum.

 

Anytime I see anyone purchasing an 18 or 30 pack ..of Anything that comes in one!

 

Wow, I'm not posting because I don't think I can beat any of these. The KBS not fresh enough......bollocks!

 

Idk if that's how it played out, but this was fucking hilarious.

 

It's a great beer but around here it's more like $7 a bottle.

 

Freshman year of college, one of my closest friends and I were at an apartment party and were shotgunning beers on the balcony with about 20 people all jammed around us cheering and carrying on. At the time we were both pretty drunk and had challenged each other to a race; who can finish 3 PBR tallboys the fastest? I was midway through the second one when I felt a huge splash of liquid all over my chest and legs, thinking it was beer I kept chugging and finished mine. Turns out my buddy had projectile vomited all over me and was blacked out on the ground. Funny thing is he could drink me under the table then and still can today. Good times haha.

 

The awesome little grocer around the corner had at least 10 Parabolas and Revolution Galaxy Hero. Went back and gone. Brutal.

 

I was once in a room with Bud Chelada and saw someone drink it.

Took me months to recover from that horror

 

'Months'?! I think that was me drinking it and I'm still having nightmares. About 5 years ago, a beer rep came in to my bar and said, "you have to try this new product"...first time I actually triggered my gag reflex with a beer...spit it out in the sink right in front of him.

 

Missed an opportunity to meet Michael Jackson in the mid 80s when he visited the Wellington Brewery in Guelph Ontario. I was chasing a girl at the time.


Luckily I met Michael Jackson in the mid 90s when he visited the Flying Saucer in FTW TX
