How did I not know about this place before?! Swung by wine exchange yesterday afternoon, while the shelf space is small, they definitely have some things i havent seen at any other bottleshop in the area.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I am not also going to DL in October, staying near the park at the Sheraton, and will have NO car. Any good liqour stores (or decent even) within walking distance?

Literally, no. I lived in Anaheim for over 15 years and can't think of a single specialty bottle shop. Every liquor store has the same stuff a 7-11 would. Best thing you're likely to find withing walking distance is DBA. There's a small Italian restaurant not too far from DL that has an extensive bottle list but I can't remember what their prices were like

Why dont you try out this beer spot near the bruery in placentia? its called Mr. K's they have pretty decent craft selection. They price match any liquor stores including bevmo.

No problem. Hopefully you are not too far from placentia.

Disneyland itself is pretty far from Bruery if you don't have a car. I wouldn't want to take that cab ride.

Ok, I just got back from my trip to Anaheim. Thanks for the tips on where to go. I ended up going to Bruery Provisions, Whole Foods (Tustin), The Wine Exchange as well as most of the grocery stores. Whole Foods has a nice selection, and I was able to get some great beers there from their beer guy. Also nice selection at Bruery Provisions and The Wine Exchange. As far as the grocery stores go, Ralphs had the best selection over Albertsons, Vonns, Target, and Walmart. I also had beer in the California Adventure Park. It was great to have Bear Republic, Epic, Hair of the Dog, Knee Deep, Lagunitas, Firestone, Alesmith, Karl Strauss, and Russian River since I can't get any of that at home. Thanks again for the info.

What about restaurants in Anaheim? I am looking for some good ones that I can get a RR Temptation or any others besides Blind Pig.

I know Haven in Orange, and Chapter One in Santa Ana typically have RR sours on their bottle list.

Kinda last minute as I leave tomorrow, but just found out the service picking us up at LAX tomorrow night will stop at a grocery store on the way to our hotel by Disney. Do "grocery stores" in the area carry any decent beers?

I would ask for recommendations for grocery stores on the way from LAX to Disney but I have no idea what route the guy will take. :slight_frown:
