Im trading with a friend of mine from Boston and he doesnt really know where to get a lot of beer. I was wondering if someone could let me know if there are certain places to get any notable beers.
SavMor Liquors in Sommerville has a pretty good bottle selection and is right on the outskirts of the city.
Boston Wine Exchange has one of the better selections in Downtown that I've seen. That or Charles St. Liquors. They both have the usual local suspects like Pretty Things, Slumbrew, and Mystic etc plus many good Belgian imports and domestic brews from Victory, Troegs, Dogfish, Great Divide, Ommegang etc. etc. Craft Beer Cellar is good right outside the city as well as Gordons and Martys.
Bauer on Newbury St carries a lot of beer. They get Maine Beer Co and I'm assuming a lot of other new locals like Mystic, Jack's Abby and Pretty Things. Hard to say what is notable when we don't know what kind of beer you are into.
+1 for Craft Beer Cellar, this place owns all. They never cease to provide me with surprises when most other places leave me saying "meh"
