Beer in Brussels

    Must say I agree with ruttoshaggy. We went there twice, hated it first time, but loved it second time. It might just be about the time of day you go.

    The top image is what it was like when we stopped in there in the afternoon. The only time it was truly nuts was weekend nights. It wasn't near the top of our list of favorites but it's worth checking out.

    RE: cheese, Moeder Lambic Fontainas has a nice cheese (and optionally, meat) board.

    I lived in Brussels for two years and at first loved Delirium (so much beer!), then gradually came to tolerate it (so many people!). But I always took visiting friends there, just for the experience + the massive beer list.

    I think anyone spending more than 24 hours in Brussels should go there, if just for a single beer — during day hours of course. No matter your opinion, it's impossible to ignore its uniqueness. But if you have time to visit just one or two places, I'd go with Moeder Lambic and Delices et Caprices (as well as others people have mentioned) over Delirium.
