    Brussels isn't Detroit .
It is what it is and the video above is just the beginning , several more demonstrations to come in the next few weeks / months starting on monday 24 november in Antwerp
And the BIG strike on 15 december and several more to come after that

Can we please change the topic of this thread to 'Fear in Brussels' instead of 'Beer in Brussels'?

Or maybe we can get back to talking about beer... There are enough other sites where you can go and raise the fear in this world. Don't think this is the right one.

Do any bottle shops in Brussels sell much in the way of vintage bottles?

Beermania has a rack dedicated to vintages.

It's just so far without a car.

Are you kidding me? It's maybe a 30min walk from the center of Brussels.

Each way (according to Google). With bottles. And a baby.

If there was nothing else in the centre of Brussels then it would seem more worth it, but from what i've heard there's not a huge amount that can't be purchased elsewhere. But I could be wrong, and the vintage bottles have definitely piqued my interest.

Just use Uber then, or a cab, or public transport. Jesus Christ, is 2.5km from the center really that far?

Again, it's not, but carrying multiple bottles along with a baby for a 5km round trip when I have one, possibly two days in Brussels before going elsewhere, when the are (apparently) equally good alternatives in the centre of Brussels, seems a little silly.

Or You can always try and trade for some vintage bottles  !!

True! If anyone is looking for some decent Canadian/US beer please let me know. I don't have a huge amount of access to whales or rare stuff though.

Taxi from the center to Beer Mania might be €10, maybe a bit more but not much. An Uber probably like €7. Lots of public transit options if you care to figure it out (maybe take it there, get a ride back?). I think two people can travel on the same ticket on weekends. Will be affected by the strikes Dec. 8 and 15. You can metro to Porte de Namur and walk 10 minutes, or catch a bus. The 71, 54 and 38 go that way from the center. Hotel can help with particulars, or if you post back here with a specific address. Am just laying out options. ... Now, Beer Mania does sell vintages, but supply is hit or miss, and not always the things you were hoping to find with a few years on them. I've been talked into a few things that just fizzled.

That could be an option. 10 euros is pretty reasonable.

Should I be scrubbing up on my French before my visit?
