Montgomery County has 3 grocery store locations with beer somehow.

Oh and those liquor stores run by the county...have the best prices anywhere for liquor. Not that I buy liquor.

Most expensive beer county, cheapest liquor county. Makes no sense.

    No in NJ.
Some grocery stores have an attached liquor store but you can not buy directly through the grocery store.

I'm gonna put MA under "Yes, with restrictions". Grocery stores can sell, but the state limits the number of licenses and the towns make you jump through hoops to get approved. Liquor stores are by far the norm here.

In NJ, that is up to the local municipality, it is not state law.
Where legal, there are grocery stores/drug stores sell beer from their regular sales floor at their regular registers. That is the case with the Wegmans and the Trader Joe's on US Rt. 1 in Princeton. There are several other examples around the state, but, as noted in the Wiki link above, it is relatively rare.

A market without beer could hardly be called "super".

Only 4% AVB in the grocery stores/gas stations of Utah. Lame.

There may be problems with it. For example, the description for PA says no beer in grocery stores but then says there are a few PA grocery stores where beer is sold. But technically and legally the beer is not sold by the grocery store. It is sold by an entity which has an eatery license which also happens to be housed in the same building and owned by the supermarket chain.

When I first moved to Massachusetts from New York (15 years ago), I was constantly frustrated by the lack of beer in grocery stores. I remember the law as being basically only 3 locations of any chain market/store can sell beer or wine. I guess I've gotten used to it because it doesn't bother me so much anymore. It would be nice to have more one-stop shopping, not having to stop twice to get your food and drink.

True, and some only sell after 12:00 or at least that's how it was in Tampa when I went to school there.

At least I live in a county where I don't have to deal with any of that.

Beer is not legally allowed to be sold in grocery stores in New Brunswick. In fact, anything that is alcoholic has to be sold in government run stores called NB Liquor. This means a distinct lack of selection compared to other places (Neighbouring Maine for example) but I can happily say that things are getting better and there are rumours of privatization.

What is this 3.2% crap? What can one buy with this ridiculous restriction?
