I'm heading to Milwaukee for a long weekend and plan on doing some beer hunting. I'm newer to craft beers so what should I be on the lookout for. IPA/IIPA are by far my favorite so will mainly be looking for those that I can't get in Omaha/Iowa.
While I can not offer advice as to what is available in Milwaukee, I can offer this web page. It will help you sort through what beers are available in Wisconsin vs Nebraska http://www.seekabrew.com/distro/compare.html You are in for a treat
Well I'll take this one: Black Husky Pale Ale, Sproose Joose and if you can still find it Sparkly Eyes. All the finer establishments carry those beers Tim
If you drove and can take it home, hit Discount Liquor on Oklahoma on the west side. As you walk in towards the back, WI craft beer is on your right. Von Trier is an awesome German style beer bar with a very good tap list & even better bottle selection. Cafe Central, Sugar Maple, Stubbys, Palm Tavern, Romans are some of the best beer bars. Hinterland, Ale House are a gastro & brew pub respectively, just around the corner from each other. There's a mess of threads on this - but this is a good start
New glaurus Moon Man , Ale Asylum Hopalicious. Both are all over in Milwaukee. If you have chance hit up water street downtown. Awesome taps everywhere.
