Have to go to Nashville next week for a work trip. Should have a decent amount of time off and want to check any worth while breweries or bottle shops to get some goodies. I want to find some stuff that isn't readily available in NY. All suggestions are much appreciated! Thanks!!

I moved away from Nashville right as beer was beginning to boom there, so I'm no expert. I've been back quite a few times since, but surely somebody else here can give you some better advice. If not, here's what I know:

Lots of places on 2nd and Broadway will carry a variety of styles and breweries on tap. The Gerst Haus is cool, too. Also, check out places in the trendy, hipster, gentrified neighborhoods such as Melrose.

Yazoo for sure. Be sure to get everything that is part of the Embrace The Funk series. Your welcome. I would do Jackalope and TN Brew Works because they are within walking distance of Yazoo, but if have a car you want to check out Black Abbey and Mantra Artisan Ales in Franklin.

I think the best bottle shop in Nashville is Craft Brewed - really great selection.

The best beer bar is probably The Hop Stop in East Nashville.

In terms of breweries, Yazoo is good, but I would really encourage you to try Smith and Lentz in East Nash (close to Hop Stop). They are brand new and making awesome stuff.
