Beer in Omaha, NE

Man, didn't have xoco last year, so only got the one six pack an hour ago at Beertopia to see what the craze was...fast forward 45 mins and one beer later, gonna have to get a 2nd sixer! Great stuff!

 

I'm glad that Omaha is so close to the border, there's a lot of great brews that distribute to Iowa that don't in Nebraska. Only catch is finding them. I bought some Surly last week, but I also love Bell's.

Love the new taps at Beertopia. Totally great and that's new since the last time I was in there. High five! I also may have slipped in an application there

 

What are the initial taps for the crowler machine?

 

I fly into Omaha on the 22nd, hoping to bring a crowler or two local stuff back to Seattle.

 

Gone through a few things already. Current taps are:

 

Stony Brook Hy-Vee had some BA Narwhal this morning.

 

Guy at Hy-Vee on Madison in CB said their Surly shipment comes in tomorrow morning. He was unsure how much Darknesss they were getting.

 

Yea but what time this morning?? Its tough to schedule dropping everything and driving to CB during the middle of the morning!

 

Already selling. BA is probably sold out but they had 3 more cases of regular Darkness.

 

Did they have bombers of Pompeii? Thats what I want.

 

Can confirm BA is gone at MoB. Regular going fast. Forgot to ask about pompeii. It wasn't out but perhaps the scanning department still had it

 

As of about 30ish minutes ago, broadway hyvee had 10 of 12 bottles (limit 1) remaining of BA darkness and what looked like 3 cases of regular (limit 2) remaining.

 

Just was there 10 minutes ago. All was gone now.

 

Scratch 4-Star Pils and Frame the Butcher, add Stillwater Existent (dark-ish saison) and Upstream Teutonic Smoked IPA. The daytime dudes must be tweaking things on this fun lil system, shit was pouring smoooooooth tonight.

 

Crowlers are supposed to last longer than growlers right? If I swing by tomorrow and grab one but don't open it until Saturday I should be fine?

Any word on Boulevard's Love Child 6 and the Coffee Porter (can't remember the name) will be in town?

I don't know about the Coffee Porter but Brix @ Village Point just received Love Child No. 6

 

Early Riser is the name of the coffee porter. It's scheduled to be released at the beginning of January starting in Kansas City first. You'll see it soon after.
