Beerfly doesn't give me much hope, so does anyone have any other recommendations for bottle shops, restaurants. or bars for good beer in the Panama City Beach area? We're staying on the west end of the Beach, a little west of Pier Park, but we're open to driving into or past Panama City or farther west to some of the other beach towns if it's a good enough destination. Dinner places should be suitable for teenagers, but my wife and I would be up for at least one night out by ourselves.

I was just there back in October for my moms wedding, checked BA and found wine world (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/15024). They had a pretty good selection of bottles for sure, I know they had some taps and you could get a pint or growler fill. Didn't get to check out too many restaurants but they do have a mellow mushroom there, good for teens and for a drink or two. Cheers!

We have spent every Nov. there for the last few years and choices are pretty few. Wine World is the best in the area for selection, but check out Quicker Liquor next to the Publix west of PCB where Front Beach and Back Beach meet. Buffalo Wild Wings in Pier Park can have some decent taps too. The best taps we have found is west of PCB towards Rosemary Beach right where Front Beach meets 30A. It's a place called Shades at The Loop that has about 30 taps and quite a bit of food. Seems to be very family friendly, but I haven't tried the menu....we went in for a few drafts only. For real local flavor, oysters, decent food, but only macro drafts, try Dusty's less than a mile west of Pier Park. There is a Hoffbrau House in Pier Park, but the food portions are very small and the beer, while good, is pretty pricey. Enjoy your visit.

Anyone have anything to say about Fishale? The ad on the tourism map says 60 taps and local beer. Seems like a winner on paper.

Went to Fishale. Pretty good tap list. Actually, outstanding by Panama City standards. The food was good. Some items (the lobster ravioli, the sirloin in the surf & turf, the sautéed zucchini and squash) were excellent, others (the crab cakes, the shrimp in the surf & turf) were ok. I'll get it added and post a full review when I get the chance.
