I work at a bottle shop and found questionable mold on some beer. I've seen it before in my cellar and solved the problem simply by wiping the bottles down. I'm fairly certain I know how this mold spored; bottles that had previously been moistened by shattered beer and then refrigerated. I know the bottles that had mold in my cellar were a bit sticky when I put them in there. The bottles at my work that had been in a cold box, some had substantial mold on the labels and neck while ones on the dry shelf that came from the same case remained fairly mold-free.

Does anyone know what kind of mold it could be? I would think being in a fridge cold enough to chill kegs would be too cold for mold to thrive, but somehow it did. Must be due to the moisture, which is why there was no mold on the bottles sitting on the dry shelf.
