We have a 2+ hour layover in Minneapolis, starting now. Would love to have a glass of Abrasive or some other decent beer before the next leg back home to Seattle. Anything here before I start dragging my kid all over the airport? Preferably near gate F3... Cheers!

How did it go? I've had Furious and Bender on tap around MSP in the past.

Not so great. We found a place called Ike's Food & Cocktails (looking at the receipt now) where I got a $17 cheeseburger and a $9 glass of Summit Maibock. My daughter ate all her ($11) potstickers anyway. We weren't able to wander all over the terminal so this was the best we found close to the gate. My fault for not thinking about it until we stepped off our plane from St. Louis.

Anyway, thanks to a fellow PNW BA for replying. Shall we take this discussion off topic now? How about those Mariners?

I fly through MSP a few times a year whenever we go back to Omaha to visit my wife's family. The Ike's in the main terminal/shopping area tends to always have Bender on tap. I've had Furious before, but I can't remember where that was in the airport.

Bit of a bummer that canned/bottled beer is sold (on-premise consumption) all over the airport, but no Surly.

Speaking of canned beers you can buy in airports... My wife was on a separate trip to Paris while my daughter and I were in St. Louis, and she bought me some "pretty expensive" beers while in France (I think they were mostly Belgian and French). But she was somehow unaware that she couldn't take them on board the aircraft (and never hinted to me in advance that she was going to do this, as she wanted to surprise me)... so security confiscated the bottles. All she was able to pick up after that fiasco was a variety pack of canned Iceland beers (mostly adjunct lagers) she managed to buy during a brief layover in the Reykjavik airport. I don't even want to know what she tried to bring me from France—she's not all that into beer, but at least she knew not to buy Chimay or Rochefort...

You can always get Surly Furious cans at Ikes. You just gotta ask.
