Looking for some recommendations for a bar with great food, near the harbor where the cruise ships dock. Landing there as firwst stop on a New England/Canada cruise, but not interested in local tours, more like local beers and good eats!
Does it say what city or state? There's more than one harbor and cruise ship terminal in New England.
I think that's down near the Seaport / Bank of America Pavilion. Quick ideas of things literally a blocks away - Harpoon, Legal Seafood Harborside, Trillium Brewing (no tastings but growler fills). I'm sure others will chime in.
You are most likely stopping here: http://www.massport.com/port-of-boston/Cruiseport Boston/DirectionstoCruiseTerminal.aspx Map: http://goo.gl/maps/dg7kG How much time do you have in Boston?
Ahhh, forgot to say...Boston. Be there from 10 AM to 7 PM Although we will be in Newprort RI, as well, another day!
You can check out Trade, Tavern Road, Blue Dragon or any number of restaurants in the Seaport. Not many beer-centric ones. Cambridge brewing company is a beer destination you can go to during the day. You would need to take the train at south station to Kendall sq. It might be nice to get lunch at Trade, travel over to CBC, and hang out for a while.
