espn twin cities is launching a new beer related show tonight at pond, Does this interest anyone? I think I'll probably give it a shot
sorry I forgot the http://www.twincities.com/entertainment/ci_23545119/1500-espn-launches-radio-beer-show
Tried listening for about 15-20 minutes, and it's not the most interesting listen. As much as I enjoy good craft beer, I don't see it as a hot radio topic, and i'll be loosely interested to see what where they go with it.
I listened to most of the show, and it was ok, not great. I would have liked to hear them take some callers instead of just a beer geek with a host that obviously wasn't the most experienced craft beer drinker
I listened, wasn't too bad for a first stab at a show. Certainly has room to grow, but I'll tune in again!
There is a craft beer radio show here on a local sports radio station (AM 1460 - KXNO) called "Whats On Tap" that is live every Saturday from 11-1 at Keg Stand in West Des Moines. It's a pretty decent show. http://www.kxno.com/pages/whatsontap.html
The show has a chance. It would be cool if they eventually give out tips on where to find special taps around the Metro and possibly inspire establishments to get kegs of BCBS, KBS, etc that will draw in listeners of the show, or even get some places to host a bottle share event. Some insider knowledge on when Ballast Point will get here, or rumors of brewers looking at expanding here would be great. It will be interesting to see the direction of the show, will it be just to promote local bars and brewers, or will it become an informational show.
As much as I want to listen to this show and hope it lasts. That network's programming has been nothing but fickle in the last two years. I will have to hit up the podcast
