Getting on the train in Elmhurst and saw new bottle shop called Beer on the wall right in downtown. Wasn’t open but would like to check it out. I think it’s pretty new, has anyone been? Thoughts? Thanks

The Park Ridge location has been around for a number of years. Been there quite a few times. Been super-happy with the selection as well as the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. One of the great plusses about BOTW is that you can buy just one can of a beer. Which lets you try something without spending a good chunk of money on a 4- or 6-pack. And they don't charge extra for that. The single-can prices are just pro-rated from the full price of the 4- or 6-pack.

It opened back in February. Went there on my lunch break last week for a pick up, as this one is closer to my work. Beautiful looking store. I've been to the Park Ridge and Arlington Hts stores much more often, closer to my house. Staff at all 3 is extremely friendly and helpful. Not sure what more info you're lookin' for that wasn't answered by @RickBelgique lol same type of vibe at all 3. Worth checking out for sure.

I have, but I dig the Park Ridge "OG" vibes the most.

The owner of BOTW is a great guy and I'm a regular at the Arlington Heights location. The tap pours are kind of pricey usually, but it's still fun to try small pours of different things.
Their can prices are great though, usually better than Binny's pricing and you can get one can of a bunch of different beers to take home.

Is this our Vav? I was not yet aware of this side of his personae. I similarly have a side which I do not mention here, but it has not gotten to the point where I am a litigent in a public trial.

I think that was our Vav, but looks to have fallen into the ways of the petulant.

Was @Vav once a manager at Binny's in McHenry?

Or am I thinking of someone else?

He was at Marcy St. Binny’s. Not sure about McHenry.

The guy at McHenry Binny's was who was behind "the beer show" in the mid-1990s (his name escapes me now), which, on one particular show, drank Hop-N-Gator and alarmed people to not have that beer.
