I try to rise to the occasion...at least where beer is concerned. And yeah, wasn't trying to pull in retired beers or one-offs for this.

FYI, anyone posting a pic on WBAYDN of them watching an event while drinking the corresponding beer gets an automatic like from me.

For any so-called "sport" where you need judges to tell you who wins: To Øl Dangerously Close To Stupid.
For the whole thing in the aggregate: The Brown Note.
As for me, I'll be drinking Curmudgeon. While I'm watching something else. And waiting for football.

    Given tonight's festivities, I'm re-ignighting this thread.

How about: Torch Pilsner from Foothills Brewing or Opening Day Berliner from Coney Island Brewing?

There are a few obscure Opening Day IPAs out there too.

    Prost!

I'll try and do this for the few Olympic events that I will be watching:

Cycling - Road : Boulevard's Sixth Glass - as the Belgian's are always strong, and I'm hoping for a strong finish for American Taylor Phinney

Beach Volleyball - Boulevard's Rattler - it is an easy-going beach brew.
Evil Twin's Skimpy Bikini also feels appropriate.

Soccer - How about I just crush a brew from every country our women's team smashes? No?
for USWNT - Hotter than Helle Lager
    for USMNT - Nut Smasher
