    As long as I have 15 gallons bottled and ready to go, all is well, otherwise it's time to ramp up the brewing schedule.

    Yea. Luckily she is moving alot further than I am when we move to our place (shes away finishing school) but I want to knock it down significantly.

    I need to start drinking the "what the hell Ill take a chance on this sitting for a year" stuff and only move with the beers I know age well, BCBS, BA Perennial, Sours and some SP Saisons. Which would probably bring my total down to 125ish.

    I live 2 blocks from the best/biggest damn beer store in Vermont. They store my beer for me :slight_smile:

    I worry about having too little beer and my wife worries about too much. Beer is like fun - You can't never have too much fun....

    Same here. Although mine might be higher if I weren't so limited by storage space and income. :slight_frown:

    Not to mention how much you'd be spending if you were buying cheap beer at a bar!

    Strangely this never seems to be a problem. Sometimes I do think where did all the "X style" go?

    I don't have a top limit (SWMBO has a different opinion on the matter, of course...)
    Besides my cellar, I like to have a 12-pack or 2 of daily drinker stuff. Occasionally I'll get down to 1 or 2 bottles / cans left, and once or twice I've run out. Not a huge deal.

    I also have limited space to store beer. Either in the fridge or my room where I have A/C on pretty much all day. Cellars/basements are not common in my city and room temperature averages 88 F, so I can't just fill my room with bottles.

    Anyway, having more than 12 bottles makes me feel like an alcoholic hahaha.

    As long as I have good beer on tap I am not overly concerned with my drinkable bottle inventory.

    maybe i havent done a great job beer shopping lately, but i've been finding myself staring at the last few beers in the fridge and saying, "nah, let me get something else." before i know it, i have a stash of beer i don't really want to drink. ever happen to anyone else?

    *i should note- i'm drinking a lot less these days than i used to, so when i do, i try to be deliberate about it. a few years ago, i would have just drank the leftovers after whatever else i wanted.

    Interesting topic. My #s are on the low end:
    B: 4
    T: 12

    I start gifting beers on friends or family when I get too high. Stuck a SoS in my unsuspecting brother in law's fridge last time I was at his house.

    I have friends that will give me beer because they know I am "into beer". A lot of times they are not styles that I like. However, I feel obligated to drink these before I go off and buy more. So that is a similar deal.

    Friends or family, which I've recently become aware is the reason I personally keep a cellar. I rarely get a sole bottle out for me, er...solely.

    Shucks.

    Quick fix: crank the A/C.

    Overall, I don't panic when it comes total beer inventory. I may be conscious of certain SKUs once they decline to certain, critical levels though.

    Bottom: haven't seen that in a while.
    Top: theoretically no limit but I am limited on space.

    I don't panic based on the amount of beer I have in the fridge. My numbers are based on when it is time to go buy more beer (B) and when to wait a bit (T). This only includes what is in the beer fridge not what is in the celler which has kind of reached an equilibrium. Celler beers that have a target age range in queue to drink are included in the numbers.

    B = 4
    T = 18
