Anyone grab the first issue and read it? Got it from The Little Bear on Sunday morning after brunch and thought it was a really cool quick read. Good map in the back with all the breweries / bottle shops / beer bars / etc too. Excited to see how the second issue comes out.
Liked it also. I thought the map could be done better. A little confusing at first glance. The colors or something. Maybe it's just me. Reminds me of West Coaster from San Diego. We finally have a nice beer paper here in LA n OC.
Haven't seen (or heard of) it yet. Sounds interesting, anyone see it anywhere other than Little Bear?
picked one up at Sunset Beer Co (also saw it at Valley Beverage Co) nice little read. hope it keeps going
Highly recommend! Awesome little paper with awesome people behind it. Their writers are sort of a who's-who of SoCal craft beer reporters and they're doing an excellent job. Look forward to many issues to come!
The latest edition of Beer Paper LA is some great reading! Big nod for Noble Ale Works brewer Evan Price. LA and OC and the rest is stepping up in the craft beer world.
Pretty decent writing. However, if they want to be taken as a serious journalistic endeavor, they might want to avoid headlines over the main story like "All Your Drakes Are Belong to Us" as in the first edition. That aside, wish them much luck.
