I will be driving from northern Chicago suburbs to Dubuque, IA. Can take a route through Rockford, Galena and Freeport, IL or go through Delevan, Beloit and Monroe, WI. Can anyone reccomend any brewpubs or microbreweries along either of these routes?

If you take the WI route and your passing through Monore you might as well just drive on 69 North for another 25 minutes and go to New Glarus Hilltop brewery.

Rockford has some solid beer bars- the olympic has nice beer, but its expensive. The oasis has some great draft brew for great prices.

Freeport is a barren desert with minimal good craft beer chioces.

The quad cities have some decent options like RIBCO, Blue Cat, and Great River.

If you want anymore info or have specific questions send me a beer mail or take a look at beer reviews from those breweries.
