I don't know if I'm just going crazy or if other users are experiencing similar problems, but I believe some of my beer ratings disappeared at some point.

I was just going through the Top 250, which now includes an x next to the beers in the Top 250 I've rated or reviewed, and I noticed that I did not have an x by several beers I've obviously had - including FBS and Duvel. I find it hard to believe that I had these beers without ever rating them, but I guess it's possible.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

The only thing i can think of is that someone flagged them because they didn't meet the reviewing requirements.

I know a few years ago there was a loss of data on some reviews but haven't heard anything of the sort happen recently.

I remember after the site change over I was almost positive I lost a lot of reviews. The mods told me I did not, but I still find non reviewed beers occasionally I know I reviewed a few years ago.

We don't blindly delete reviews, nor do reviews just go missing, however, there are certain cases in which reviews are removed. Examples:
    • Merging beers (any duplicate reviews are discarded, most recent are kept)
    • Violation of our terms of service
    • Blatant attempt to alter the ratings / misuse of the system
Many years ago we did have a period of time in which we experienced some data issues, but those days are long gone.
    Yes. It is a possibility.
