Beer Ratings

    Do you guys ever review a beer and give it score higher then a beer you remember really liking, even though the one you just reviewed was quite good, you didn't enjoy it as much as the one with the lower score.

    Yeah, it's happened. But I don't worry about it too much. Just because I really liked a beer, doesn't mean it is actually a better beer than one I did not like. That, and perception of tastes change. I used to really like Avery's The Czar and for a short while it was one of my top rated RISs. Then, after not having had it in nearly a year, and plenty of other great RISs in between, I don't like it nearly as much as I used to. But it is still one of my higher rated RIS.

    Moi aussi. Its one of the reasons why I hate the numbers game. At times the whole is less than the sum of its parts.

    I think rating to style plays a part in this. I would enjoy a mediocre hefeweizen more than a good quality light lager, however the light lager may have a better score.
