I'm looking for a good beer that's available in Dallas and I'm seeing if anyone has any recommendations. I've found that I really like darker beers like stouts and porters and black lagers. Can anyone recommend a good dark beer that's available in TX? I've had: -Left Hand Milk Stout -Shiner Black Lager -Guiness Stout and Black Lager -Sam Adams Cream Stout -Sam Adams Black Lager -Young's Double Chocolate Stout -Anchor Porter -Sam Smith Taddy Porter Any other good ones?

Good recommendation! I haven't found any Deep Ellum beer. Tried a sample or two (not the stout) at the Big Tex Beer Fest. Where can I get it?
It is pretty unpredictable, but they are getting picked up at good beer bars. You might check Meddlesome Moth and/or Flying Saucer.
Hello. I know the Moth had the Deep Ellum Double Brown Stout last week, they may still have some. Check Deep Ellum's website, they may have more info as to who may have it right now. As for other stuff you can find in Dallas, try Deschutes Black Butte, Hop In The Dark and Abyss, Avery New World Porter, Mephistopheles and Czar, Stone IRS, Smoked Porter and Sublimely Self Righteous. Those are all Black IPA's, porters and stouts. Good luck.
Toss in (512)'s Pecan Porter into this mix. Might be hard to find now but a little birdie told me that the FW Saucer might do a side-by-side of the '11 and '12 Double soon. Green Flash has their Double Stout in our market and it's pretty tasty and fairly cheap. Ten Fidy is an awesome can that is pretty much everywhere. Left Hand Smoke Jumper is still around if you like a little smokey flavor. Clown Shoes has Blaecorn Unidragon and Vampire Slayer. That should get you rolling
Hello. I just saw on Deep Ellum's website the line up of beers they will have for this Sunday's Brew BQ and the Double Brown Stout is there. They will also have some beers from others that are stouts, porters, etc. Check that out.
