Beer recommendations in Bakersfield, California

    Going to be headed to the Bakersfield area for work in about 3 weeks. Will be staying for a week. Any breweries, bottle shops or restaurants recommend? I will be flying into LAX and back so any recommendations places I can pickup some good brews between LA and Bakersfield would be great too!

    Imbibe wine store is in Bakersfield. Otherwise on your day off make the drive to Kernville and hangout at Kern River Brewing. I mean if your going to drive from LAX to Bakersfield why not make the extra effort to Kern River. Plus there’s all kinds of outdoor activities to do.

    I'll be there in a couple weeks as well. Nice to see there's a good bottle shop and a few breweries. When I was last there 6 years ago I believe Lengthwise was the only brewery there and I went to a liquor store with some year old Stone Ales. Are there any family friendly breweries with food?
