Was able to grab 1 in Macomb for $23, at about $1/ounce it's expensive but this isn't the norm for anything Short's. 1 time release, no draft, and at %15 in the current market this shouldn't be a shock to anyone. Keep looking though, my buddy grabbed 5 shed turds @ $19.99 from a grocery store in Oakland county yesterday...

We've bitched so long about the lack of products like this being produced for us by our top breweries, no one can actually believe it when it happens.
That and there isn't enough of course.

Moreso than Scallywag? Hope not. Not cracking mine until Superbowl.

i really enjoyed this last night. It was very citrusy, not as boozy as I thought it'd be, and for it was a pretty easy for 15%. My favorite thing this week was how all the Short's haters were scrambling to find one of these. This beer well lived up to the hype for me.

Scallywager was more Pineapple juice, the Pineapple flavor I got in Batch 5000 was strictly from the hops that were used, which to me is much better.

I guess my reference point was Exponential Hoppiness from Alpine when I lived in San Diego. I believe that was $12-14 for a bomber. Anyway, I'm not typically one to bitch about pricing - this one just caught me off guard.

If anyone still wants this beer and you are close to Battle Creek, I saw 4 of them at Horrocks last night @ $19.95.

Shared last night with a buddy. Very good brew.

I suggest keeping it chilled when drinking. Initial pour around 45-50 degrees was perfect for aroma and taste. Booze only presented itself at the end and minimally at that. I left the bottle out and the second pours weren't as complex, booze was all we got. Definitely need to share this one, it would take a very brave soul to take it down solo.

Very happy to have had this. Among the other "triple" IPA I've had (devil dancer and 120 minute) I prefer this and it's not even close.

Anyone know if Shorts still has this at the pub?

For a 15% TIPA, I def enjoyed this. VERY BOOZY though!!! I still got some of the pineapple notes from the hops, but as it warmed the alcohol heat came out in full force. To be expected for a 15%er though. Appearance, aroma and mouthfeel were on point!

Just got word from my brother that he found a store in Benzie with 3 and grabbed me one. I won't get to pick it up from him for a couple months, so I'll see how it tastes then.

Nancy boys. Drank it myself while making ham and navy bean soup for the S(oup)er bowl. Even ate the neck of the bottle for an appetizer.

Edit: yep the 15% Abv makes you drunk.
