    Hi folks,

Bloody Beer has been bottled/kegged and is awaiting distribution! I'd expect it in stores later this week or the next.

NOTE: The yield this year was quite low. Only around 400 cases were producted.

This beer is best drank fresh!

A lighter bodied beer with an appealing ruby red glow and aromas of spicy tomato juice. Fermented with Roma tomatoes and spiced with dill, horseradish, peppercorns, and celery seed lead to an astounding initial tomato flavor, followed by a lingering finish that allows each additional ingredient a chance to resonate on the palate. Decant carefully, and let this 2009 GABF silver medal winner warm slightly in order to appreciate the full magnitude of flavors.

I'm definitely looking forward to trying this one again......
The release calender on the site looks like its the old one again. There was a dfferent, more current one there before. What happened?

Also OT but Bells just announced no Cherry Stout this year, are we going to see the Black Cherry Porter this year?

Black Cherry Porter is still scheduled.

I apologize for the typo on "produced", although "producted" sounds like it could almost be a word.

I'm not a HUGE fan of tomatoes -- but I love ketchup and tomato soup. I'm kinda iffy on trying it, but I may do it regardless. If I see it, that is.

I am very much looking forward to trying this one. Thanks also for posting the schedule. I missed key lime pie and haven't been able to track it down, thankfully i found some peaches and cream on a fluke! I found an old release grid from 2011 but never saw the new schedule. Thanks!

Aside from the Magician, this is my least favorite Short's Beers they bottle. That being said it tastes like a Bloody Mary.

I'm thinking Short's took a ton of flack for having infected beers due to the nuts in those brews, so we won't be seeing them in bottles.

I know he said in another thread when it was brought up that it wasn't going to be bottled was that for whatever reason they just cant get it to keep in a bottle. But hey now another excuse to drive up there right lol.

Thats awesome I had some of the Bourbon version on tap and it was pretty fantastic. Im looking forward to a six pack at least this year.

From what I've heard from my co-workers, this year's Bloody Beer is the best representation of the brew since the Imperial Beer Series of '07!

Yeah, I've heard this before, but it doesn't make much sense considering how many other breweries use nuts in certain brews without running into infections.
