I hate to burst a bubble here, but it might not hit stores until next week. From what I know, it hasn't been allocated to reps, yet.:slight_frown:

What's another week at this point? How does this stuff age?

Another week to wait is cool with me. Cinnabilly is the Short's release that has me most excited over the next few months. Hopefully I can find a few sixers.

I'm not sure anyone will be able to answer that. My guess is it will be better fresh. Never know until you try though. Hold a bottle or 2 back and give it a taste test in a year.

I am more concerned with getting my first sixer at this point than aging, lol.

I hope Shorts is noting the excitement over with non-ipa/apa release. I think sometimes they get swept up in the buzz of the cake beers and hops while forgetting great styles like doppelbocks.

LOL. Right. I just noticed your location. Probably going to be a little harder for you to get than me. Well hopefully . I'm hoping to pick up 3 - 4 six packs so if you come up empty maybe we can work out a small trade. My area tends to sell out quickly though. Although Devil Dancer seemed to be plentiful which kind of surprised me.

I may hold you to that, but hopefully i will not. I have a few spots about an hour and a half from my house that I fit when Shorts releases something I want. I have to bank on it lasting to a weekend.

I'd say it's fine for months w/ no noticeable differences. But that's just me.

Oh boy... This and then Shorts Cake soon. These beers help make my wife happy and enjoy beer. *fist pump*

I noticed that the listing for Cinnabilly here on BA says:
    Notes/Commercial Description:
Dopplebock brewed w/ cinnamon aged in bourbon barrels with Medjool dates.

From my understanding this beer is not barrel aged or brewed with Medjool dates. I know Ben's Asthma was brewed with Medjool dates and had a barrel aged version. So I'm assuming this description was accidentally added to Cinnabilly rather than Bourbon Ben's Asthma... @HopHeadHerman ?

Any sightings out there by anyone? You don't have to name your spot, just if you've seen it so I know to be on the hunt.

Haven't seen it yet. The party store around me just got in 12 packs of Prolonged Enjoyment and Cerveza De Julie though. I thought Cerveza wasn't supposed to be out until August.

Can someone explain how the hell Short's brews all these different styles and variants? Am I wrong in thinking they are not a very large brewery?

The way they keep turning out all of these great new beers I think you have to look at them as 21 different 1,000 barrel breweries in one building. They produced 21,125 barrels in 2013, second only to Founders in Michigan under the microbrewer category.

Thanks. Do you find it difficult to obtain all the releases in MI? I suppose it depends if it is a popular style.

Just about all of their seasonals/specialties sell out pretty quickly, but some can last over a week or so. If you are aiming at a specific beer, then it's likely many others are also, and it's those that you need to know what day that Short's beers are delivered to your favorite store.
