I stopped by my two go-to shops tonight that usually receive 5 or more cases of Short's specials. The first had not received it yet. The other had 2.5 cases tonight - I'll go out on a short limb and say they got their five earlier today.

It's tasty but I'm glad I only got six. That will be enough.

What was the price point for those who have picked theirs up already? Asking for a friend.

Not a big fan of this. I guess when you put out so many beers there are bound to be a few I don't care for.

I figured this one would be another very subjective offering. Looking forward to trying the bottled version, myself.

Thanks for weighing in, folks. Another will be hitting stores in 2 weeks!

Damn solid brew. Couldn't pull the trigger on a sixer but one of my stops usually lets me break up the six pack. Nice evening sipper, wouldn't have minded if I got six.

I grabbed a 6-pack and had one tonight. Another winner from Short's. The rest of these beers will be kept for winter warmers. My taste buds have switched gears to summer flavors now, especially hops.

Huge cinnamon stick flavor and a true-to-style multi-layered caramel sweetness. Very much enjoyed this one. I wonder if the harshness of the cinnamon will dull with time, and the malts will meld and step forward. Might have to lay down a bottle or two.

I'd really, really like one of these - I have lots of great WI locals to trade...

Finally, Finally Got my first bottle. I think as the bottle got closer to room temp, it was more enjoyable. I liked it, but thought the cinnamon was just too intense. I kept thinking about how beautiful this could/would be if it had some vanilla to balance the cinnamon. I will probably post a review tomorrow.

I loved the intensity of the cinnamon and I agree with you in that it became more noticeable as the beer warmed.. I don't know for sure but I think Short's used a higher quality cinnamon for Cinnabilly instead of the cheap cinnamon that is readily available in grocery stores. My wife goes to Penzey's one or two times every year and she make sure she always gets cinnamon there. High quality cinnamon takes a good apple pie to out of this world apple pie.

Does anyone know anything about the kind and quality of the cinnamon used in Cinnabilly?

Most cinnamon used in the U.S. is really cassia. I'm sure they're are different qualities of that too. I might try to pick up an extra CBilly to see how it ages.
