Beer Release (Short's Brew): Devil's Lettuce

This one was probably due to it being a wet hop release, so Short's was at mother nature's mercy of many hops she wants to give them.

 

There were only 20 1/6 barrels for the entire state, so the majority got bottled.

 

Between this, mmm kay, and Reverend I have 2 cases worth of fresh Shorts goodness. A good problem to have, but how am I going to drink this all before the hops fade?

 

I like this one more than mmmkay (which is still on a few shelves in the k-zoo area).

 

Will have to check for this! Will admit I'm a bit of a newbie and overlooked the infamous "Superfluid" in one instance just because i didn't know better.

When it says "Short's Brew" and then "IPA" its usually great. Shorts can be a bit on and off, experimental being the best word, but when it comes to IPA's they seem to have there feet firmly planted in the right place

 

I have drank a few of these now, and i have to say it's becoming one of my favorites.

 

Woo-hoo! After only scoring a bottle last Friday, I made a stop for some provisons at another wine and bottleshop near me. I ask if by any long shot they had any Lettuce left, and damn if the beer guy there had just put some out with the word that whoever wanted it could buy what they want. Sixer Hoooooooo!

 

Found a sixxer today and really haven't seen one yet other then a single a few weeks ago.. with all the superb dark brews lately this seems forgotten.. it's fallen off just a smidge but is still the best harvest ipa out..

 

Working through my last couple bottles tonight and damn this is still drinking really really well!

 

I found one last 6er at Meijer in Midland last week. I still enjoyed it.
