This GABF gold medal winner has been bottled/kegged and is awaiting distribution. I'd expect to see it in stores later this week or the next. Only about 500 cases were produced.

I never was a huge fan of this offereing, but this year I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was tasting. The flavor is spot on! Obviously, if you don't enjoy Key Lime Pie, you may not like it.

Made with fresh limes, milk sugar, graham cracker, and marshmallow fluff, we were able to recreate this popular dessert into a heavenly drinkable version. The prominent flavors are immensely sweet, yet tart, with subtle hints of graham cracker coming through in the nose and remain on the back of the palate. A Gold Medal Winner at the 2010 GABF.

Love Short's , but just finished a case from last year ( used for BBQ ) just too damn sweet for a ipa junkie like me. Please take no offense to this just don't like sweet beers anymore . In the past I loved DFH Indian brown now it's just too sweet.

Oh and I got a mule coming your way 8/15/12 thu 8/18/12 hope to get some really good growlers fills

I'm surprised you were still able to drink it if it was from last year. It's wayyyyy past it's shelf life.

This year's version is quite good. Grabbed a growler for a BA in Lansing, and had to have some myself when I was there.

It's official, Shorts does it again. Now if they could just bring out the Peaches and Cream...

Never liked this one, simply does not taste anything like Key Lime Pie to me. I am hoping I can get a friend to get me a 6 pack of Peaches and Cream and bring it down here.

Anyone know what the suggested retail price is? Enjoying a growler and plan on ordering a couple of sixers.

I always get pumped for this one. If this batch is anywhere near the quality that Strawberry Short's Cake was, then I am sure I'm in for a treat. You guys have been on point lately.

Yes. I've had growlers that were meticulously refrigerated from brewery to tasting that bordered on life-changing events. I've also had bottles that gushed all over my kitchen counter. A fickle mistress, this Key Lime Pie.

Yeah, agreed the shorts cake this year was fantastic. I've been looking forward to this too because I got a six pack last year and it had some weird off flavors to it.

Yeah, hopefully the pasteurization, if they're using it on this brew, should help. Lets hope it doesn't change it too much though.

FT: 6 pack of 2011 Key Lime Pie

I'm a huge advocate of your brewery, but I just couldn't finish my 2 6'ers last year. I revisited this year and it is definitely past its shelf life.

I'll be skipping this one, but saving my money for Peaches and Cream.

I've been waiting to try this one, haven't had it in years past. The Strawberry Short's Cake was so good this year, I have very high hopes for the Key Lime now.
Is Peaches and Cream coming out soon as well? Is it a pub only or does it go into distribution?

I'm fairly certain it gets bottled. For about the same price as the Key Lime Pie.

I think this may be the first year because I've never seen it before. But according to their list on the site, which has been updated, its this month too. I think I read somewhere on here that it will be towards the end, I'm not positive on that though.
