Beer Release (Short's Brew): Melt My Brain

Really looking forward to this. The gin barrel aged version was excellent!

 

Excellent! This was one of my list of "hope they bottle it" from last year. Can't wait to try it.

And not to thread-jack (but I will), I saw Old Reliable is going to be in the next variety pack. @HopHeadHerman do you know what else is going to be included?

 

I'm pretty certain I had this at the Winter Beer Fest. If it's the same brew, it was delicious. I love gin and tonics, and this captured the flavor profile very well.

I'm glad Pandemonium is in there, too. Thought we might have lost it in bottles when Space Rock took its place on the flagship schedule.

Now begins the campaign to get Pontius back in bottles.

 

Grabbed a sampler today, tried them all tonight, have had pandemonium before and love it, the others were all good beers, especially celestial critter, very tasty brew.

 

how is Chocolate Giddyup?

 

I'm not a huge fan of coffee, but it was good for what it is, I like cup of joe alot though, this isnt nearly as good as that beer.

 

Melt My Brain tastes like a cross between a gin and tonic and a Lime-A-Rita. Pretty damn refreshing but be prepared... it's LOADED with lime. Perfect "boat drink"

 

I had a Melt My Brain today and I really liked it. So much lime.

 

I can't drink beers with lactose in them (not allergic, but I get slightly congested to the point of it being uncomfortable) as they are too sweet for me. So, I may end up liking this one a lot more than Cup a Joe. Haven't had a real coffee/chocolate stout w/o lactose from them yet so I'm really looking forward to this.

 

Really digging this beer. At the anniversary party last year one of my friends got a pint and it tasted awesome. Another one of my buddies got a pint after sampling his and it tasted like a different beer-not good. I got a sample the next day with lunch at that did not taste good either. Bought a six pack today and it tasted like the first one I tried so I am happy. Very unique and flavorful beer. Would be ridiculously crushable when fishing in the summer.

Got some today, and holy cow. This one deserves to come back every summer. Glad I picked up a full size, it looks my wife is going to crush a few of these herself.
