Queen Bee was packaged just days ago, and ahead of Evil Urges, which means there may be a switch as far as the release schedule. We'll see...

This is the first time Queen Bee has been bottled/kegged for statewide distribution. It's a tasty one.

This one is delicious. We had it February and it sold fast. It's a tad sweet, but man is it good

I can't really stomach lactose in beers nowadays, and this one is a little too sweet for my liking, so i have to regrettably pass on these two most recent specialties.

Cup a joe, queen bee, evil urges, new variety pack...I'm still finishing Pan Galactic and Black Cherry. And then Juicy Tree.

Man, I love this time of year

I've never had this one, but it sounds super tasty! Can't wait to give it a try. Also cant wait to find the new variety pack, but everywhere I go still the same one that has been out most of 2015.

I don't do this often, but I gotta say in a separate post, other the the original-

This beer is fucking awesome. Not only does it taste amazing, and we rarely brew Amber Ales, but the honey addition is spot on, AND it pays tribute to the greatest American rock and roll band of all time.

I bought a case, something I also rarely do. Statewide distribution will hopefully be next week.

This is exactly how I feel about the honey in hopslam and chillwave. Honey does for those beers what barrel aging does for bcbs.

Any sightings in Metro Detroit? Really looking forward to this after @HopHeadHerman has declared it awesome.

Just grabbed a 6 pack in lansing, it is amazing, better than I expected. I'm always thrilled when a beer blows my expectations out of the water, definitely will be getting more!

They are! It's a tribute to them. They used to sing the song King Bee.

Grabbing some tomorrow and I would have voted lil wheezy back as well. Is this a familiar hop profile as lil wheezy?

There's a nice warmth as it goes down along with the honey flavor. Kind of reminds me a little of a hot tottie.

The name makes me laugh a little, too. I got the Dead reference, but the first thing that sprung to mind was another song, King Queen, by Gwar. And then a laugh imagining a Gwar-influenced name from Short's

    Very average.

Take your time, Short's.. These fast beer releases seem like a good(yet shitty) way hoard shelf space.

(As a stocker, it's a pain. We still have Ermagerd' and Mmk collecting dust) we can't have a shorts door, the revolution just isn't that strong yet.

It's so annoying when someone comes in looking for the 'hot off the presses' Shorts beer.. It's like, dude.. We gotta sell the other 471838 first.

Cut the portfolio a bit, and give a bit of a shit.

    Still much love

I have wondered why Shorts doesn't do either a double batch, or a twice/year format on the most popular ones.

    I hear you.

I dig the fact we have new offerings all the time, but realize that some move MUCH faster than others. It's at the point, now, where we are dialing in how much of each we need to produce in order to turn them, accordingly. It can be tricky. Freedom of '78? Can't make enough. Others, not so much. I can assure you that we are not in the business to hoard shelf space. We're not AB, where you have 10 different options to buy Bud Light.

All good info and will be noted.

I still love this beer, though.
