I hate seeing Mmmkay still available.. alright I hate it!

Shocked to read Mmmkay is collecting dust somewhere. Those disappeared pretty quickly (too quickly) in my parts.

For what it's worth, I love the variety Short's puts out. But I'd be willing to sacrifice a couple specialty releases to get some of their barrel aged releases into distribution. Bombers, 4-packs, 6-packs, I don't care...those will never be seen collecting dust!

Yeah, I tend to agree with sacrificing some of the specialty releases.

For me, I think having so many releases can be a double-edged sword. On one hand, when I first started drinking craft a few years ago, I loved how I could (and still can) try a new Short's offering on a weekly or so basis. It developed my palate and opened my eyes to different styles and variations. On the other hand, once you try one that you don't care for, then you're not inclined to purchase it again. (EDIT: obvious statement.)

With that said, I still proudly call Short's my favorite brewery and will do so for the foreseeable future. Keep up the GREAT work!!

I had one on tap and bought a sixer. Really like the subtle honey and how it works with a style I'm not normally a fan of. Well hidden abv too.
Although some of the varieties sit on shelves here and there, it's neat to check them out in different places and find Woodmaster, Spruce Pilsner, Moher Stout, etc., still out there.
Three things that would be nice though (all said before but bearing repeating): BB beers going to distro, info on the variety pack and more Freedom of '78!

This was average at best. Not sure what y'all are talking about the other few releases being still on the shelf. They all fly off and are gone within a day in the Royal Oak area.

Yeah, found that out last night. Very smooth, and went down too easy. Did one of those stand-up-sit-right-back-down things.

And I gotta know: am I the only one who's okay with NOT having a barrel aged option? There's already so many out there, and I like that Short's seems more focused on creating new brews rather than just barrel aging a few and creating six variants of the same ale. Eh, maybe it's the indigestion I get from them.

Agree for the most part, with the exception of BB Evil Urges, gotta get that one out in bottles (aside from 750's) and distro.

Although I rarely find a Shorts Beer I love, there are many that I like a lot. I appreciate Short's for what they are, a brewery that isn't afraid to experiment with new and unusual beers, and staying true to their MI roots, and make a high quality beer.

You are not alone Tripel, I think there are still a few of us out here that don't believe every damn beer has to be barrel aged to be excellent and I definitely appreciate the fact that Short's doesn't feel the need to barrel everything. I have had a few beers that I felt benefitted from the barrel treatment compared to the base but many that haven't. Still the hype train will chug on and at the very least the masses are out chasing those bb beers giving me an opportunity to still score some of these nasty base beers that should have been put in a barrel in order to be good.

Agree with others on this being a bit average. Has a great honey nose and taste but needed some hops/bitterness in this one. Didn't even finish the one bottle I had.
