Beer Release (Short's Brew): Snake Juice

Replying just to see if it makes it to shelves by Friday when I'm up for KBS.

 

Really interested to try this one! Not a coffee guy, but I am an IPA guy so we'll see what happens.

 

Had this at the Winter Beer Fest and really enjoyed it. Would definitely buy a 6'er if I see one.

 

Didn't try this at Winter Beerfest, but did have Dark Horse's Coffee Double Crooked Tree. So good, I'd have it with scrambled eggs and sausage. Anxious to try this release. Great timing. We're headed to KBS party on Saturday, so we'll stop to look for it.

 

I've had a few coffee pales and coffee IPA's and I have to say, I don't think those flavors go together well.

It's like brushing your teeth with a tropical toothpaste and then drinking coffee, blugh.

 

Definitely only getting a single to start. This one sounds questionable

 

Ok, a couple of questions about this beer, since I'm thinking of starting a trade thread requesting this (it sounds delicious).
1 what is the cost?
2 what does it come in - bomber, 4 pack, 6 pack?

saw 9 cases today at one shop, so it hit. I was looking for the Irish Stout though, and saw none

 

If this is anything like Kuhnhenn Thumper (Fluffer with coffee), I will be pleased.

 

Had it at the brewery last year and loved it. Really nice balance betweent the hops and coffee. It does a great job of having that coffee flavor without losing the style of an IPA, which happens all too often with IPAs that have additives

 

Sounds very interesting. Will definitely pick up two singles first and see how i like it.

 

Any word on Chicago distribution for this one? Or for any of the specialty releases in general (bombers included)?

 

Got my 6'er hot off the truck today with a 1/19/16 born on date on the bottles. Huh?

 

Same here. Grabbed some with the same mid-January date today. Any idea as to whether these bottles were held back intentionally?

 

Same thing on my six pack, too. Pretty coincidental with their recent distribution expansion.
