Beer Release (Short's Brew): Sticky Icky Icky

    The anticipation is at an all-time high! Why? Well, one of our most popular IPA's from the recent past has just been bottled for the first time. Remember Detroit Beer Fest a while back? Sticky Icky Icky was there, and it was a big hit.

    This brew was bottled yesterday, and will be showing up around Michigan within 2 weeks. Keep a lookout, I have a feeling it won't be around for long!

    Sticky Icky Icky is a radiantly clear, copper-colored American India Pale Ale. It is loaded with citrusy hop aromas of oranges, nectarines, and apricots. This light, yet full bodied ale is perfectly balanced by equal parts sweet malt and juicy hops. A medium bitterness along with a subtle earthiness lingers in the finish.

    This new American India Pale Ale is what Ryan Hale, the head brewer at the Bellaire pub, referred to as his quintessential IPA. Ryan combined all of his favorite hops resulting in what he described as “pure juicy goodness”. This beer is loaded with all of the big citrus and fruity flavors American hops can offer.

    6.5% ABV
    70 IBU

    Cant wait to try this! Glad it was moved up to the beginning of August! So much Shorts goodness coming up.

    Yes, all beers on our specialty release schedule get bottled and kegged for limited statewide distribution!

    I'll be up in Suttons Bay the week of the 17th; hopefully I can find some of this, whether it is bottles or tap. I keep trying to find the Short's beer that really does it for me, and I have yet to find it. This sounds like it has promise.

    Ten months of anticipation is finally gonna pay off, since the 2015 schedule was released. Not that the rest of the year hasn't been great (2015 has been crazy amazing for limited releases!) but these next four months are the ones I've been looking forward to the most!
