I met up with someone who works at the brewpub last night.
He had his fridge stocked with Superfluid, Hopstache, Yosemite Scooter and some beer that isn't released through distro. I want to say it was called Stroker Ace. He said a small batch was recently made and he was given a bottle from someone.

    Anyway, all top notch stuff.

    FUGG YES.

Somehow missed out on Superfluid sixers dammit! Had a pour at SBF & loved it. Luckily a couple good buddies tossed me a few bottles... This one came & went pretty damn quick.

Stroker is awesome. we had it on tap last year. superfluid is the fastest beer we've ever had. a 1/6 barrel blew in about 7 hours last thursday.

Luckily I found another six pack of this great beer today, so we know kolsch 45 and stroker ace are gonna be in next sampler pack, any chance of letting the other two out of the bag?

I didnt get any diacetyl but I agree it is a super unique flavor profile of some kind. Fruity, almost like an apricot or a nectarine. Really good, nonetheless, but very unique and unlike anything I've tasted in a DIPA.

Just cracked my first Superfluid. I immediately picked up that weird flavor mentioned above. To me, it's almost like how a peach tastes kind of musty. If that's accurate. Definitely bitter and piney and I get "dank" on the nose. Wow are we ever spoiled with all these Shorts beers.

I need to correct something real quick- it was brought to my attention that the conference stated in the opening post is not hosted by the NRDC, but instead, F&B Communications LLC.

thanks for the update - the conserve-greatlakes.com conference will be held in Grand Rapids this year and Short's will be presenting on their brewery water savings and wastewater treatment - all in the good spirit of Superfluid
