Beer Release (Short's Brew): Superfluid

This brings back memories of Grateful Fest at Nelsons Ledges Quarry Park. Good times, Good times! Haha

 

My neighbors are in Lansing for a hockey tournament this weekend and will be looking for some SuperFluid. Any recommendations for stores where they have a good chance of finding some? They haven't found any to this point, but may be looking in the wrong places.

 

Picked up a 6 pack at Vine & Brew yesterday which is in Okemos, just East of Lansing. There was about a half a case left on the floor when I was there. Also wouldn't doubt if Meijer in Okemos had some. Hope this helps.

 

The above post from gashmoney is good, but not knowing where your friends will be in the Lansing area, I'll suggest that you have them call places first (or you can do it for them) instead of running around all over. The attached list has phone #s for Big 10, Horrock's and Tom's, which are spread apart geographically, and these would be my recommendations for good places to find Superfluid.

Had my first Heady Topper tonight which I received via trade (thanks petesapetes!).

I don't know if the HT was maybe a bit old but I'm here to tell you, it doesn't even compare to this SF.

I'm on my third sixer of this stuff (not tonight, that would be a record or something) and I think I might need a tongue transfusion by the time they are gone.

 

Must be an old HT.

 

Apparently sold out in a matter of a day or so while I was out of town (Oakland County). Hit a few stores over lunch today with no luck.

 

looks like round 2 is our in the kalamazoo area, got a few this time. one in hand as i type, good stuff!

 

I did the same and actually thought superfluid was better. A touch too bitter when compared to heady but still slightly better. Oh and the heady was a week old, pretty old...

 

I made the trek up to Michigan today to find some Freedom of '78 and lucked into a sixer of Superfluid. Just wow…a fantastic, top-tier DIPA.

 

My kind of DIPA, not sweet and a lot of hop bitterness.

 

As of last night, Country Acres in South Lyon still had 4 CASES of Superfluid left. I'm doing my part, but I'm just one man with a finite budget and liver.

 

bought a sixer yesterday and already drinking number 3 right now.. i can buy singles or even one six pack of any other companies beer to try and "save" a little cash but not shorts. "just one sixer" turns into ok i need two...
