Beer Release (Short's Brew): Twisted Cain

    Originally, I wasn't going to start one of these, but seeing it's a brand new one to hit the market, might as well.

    Not to be confused with our Black Lager, Twist of Cain, this brew incorporates an Ale yeast strain. Twist of Cain will be a short-window seasonal, for 2016.

    And Happy f'n New Year!

    Twisted Cain is an American Black Ale that pours black in color with red hues passing through the edges of the glass, topped with a creamy off-white head. This medium bodied brew leads with a pleasant roasted aroma, before a sweet dark fruitiness, that ends in slightly bitter and dry finish.

    7.75% ABV
    40 IBU

    Damn, and I passed this one up because I thought it was Twist of Cane. Bad marketing on this one.

    Already downed some of these. Twist of Cain was one of my favorites from 2015, so I was curious to see what the difference would be. This one seems a little lighter, maybe fruitier by a hair, by and otherwise excellent addition to the lineup. Can't wait for a hoodie with the logo on the back (hint hint )

    Just had one tonight. Now I want another, and another. Hope I can find some more. Very easy drinking. I like the roasted malt, light but solid.
