So what would be your suggestion of what style I should brew for my very first homebrew?

My very first beer was an English Bitter Ale. Do you like that style of beer? If so I would suggest that style to you.

The benefit of brewing this style is that the British imports of this style all seem to taste 'old' to me. Brew your own and you are guaranteed fresh!

    Cheers!

To be charitable some of those some people may feel they have more important concerns, and they might, but yes, if the care is there it will show.

Wow that is quite depressing to hear!!! I mean I would love to work at Tonewood Brewery, and as well trying reaching out to other breweries around the area with no response( so far only Red White and Brew coming in 2018)

Yes. When I was at Backwards Flag we did off flavor tasting kits and things like that to improve our knowledge. I only gave that up because of relocation. For example though, several interviews I've had, one ended up in getting a job but was told I needed to wait a week for them to speak with the owners about my pay. Never heard back a month later I called and was told it wasn't in the budget. Another I had 2 interviews for the same place I get there and he's not there. Reschedule but that next time he said not interested. 3 time. Just a month ago. Went for an interview. Spoke to the owner. She needed to talk to the other countries owner, was told they'll call me for a 2nd interview. I called and was blown off. It sucks because I'm qualified and these are open jobs but then I hear I'm passed up because they need to do a favor for a friend. I'll just save money, build credit and open my own brewery at this point haha.

Thanks. Hopefully. There's two local breweries around here. Other than that it's quite a drive. Also it's nice that it seems almost every town along the shore has them popping up.

A friend from Australia says that lightstruck makes her think of coffee aromas. I have caught that a few times in coffee myself.

I had the pleasure of speaking to Tom from Monk's Cafe, and I told him of the training I have done, and then I proceded to ask him if NJ breweries could use Certified Cicerones in the brewery, and his most valuable answer was yes. A real pleasure to talk to him with all his knowledge. I certainly will absorb as much as I can!!!
