Not one, but two defective shanks. The original one and then the replacement both have leaks from the same area. I just want to drink my beer . No complaints from the company I ordered the parts from though. Very nice, shipped the replacement and was at my door in a couple of days from me contacting them. I just wished they sent me one that works. Here is where they are leaking from.
I just want to drink my beer . . . aka, the Birth of Country Music Oh don't you remember the Shank that did leak It caused me great sorrow, I started to weep So off to the keg store, a new one I bought But it was no better, a lesson soon taught The new Shank still leaky, it was a great flop So no beer for me and much work for my mop Let this be a lesson, all keggers take heart Your beer is a hostage to a cheap Chinese part
i have seen that a few times on bent tail pieces. the 90 degree elbows have been funny and it is always good to have a few extras handy. a pin hole leak can make one hell of a mess in just a few hours. our supplier had a hard time getting the item for a while. we were told that hurricane katrina wiped out the usual manufacturer. God only knows who is making these parts now. i trust beverage factory sent a replacement no problems. Cheers.
Looks like bev factory using micromatic shanks . Surprised if that's the case. Should tell them you wanted a stainless one for sending you defective goods.
