Brigadiero seems to have something of a following but honestly I think it's the weakest beer coming out of the entire Jack's industrial complex.

I don't know, maybe just buy Expedition and spend the savings on syrup.

It’s all good, as you said, anyone is free to do what they want.

No worries either way, no judgement here.

Unless all you drink is New England IPAs, then I’ll judge you. Kidding kidding.

On topic, let us know how the Fayston is, and how much did you pay for it?

Until we find out that non-racist brewery did something racist.

It's an oatmeal stout and is only 8.5% abv, that's just an increase from the barrels, not a bigger version, so it's not intended to be some massive thiccboi impy stout. To compare it to a BA imperial stout that clocks in at 10% or higher doesn't make sense, different beers.

An oatmeal stout shouldn't be thin though.

@mhull did you mean thin compared to CBS, or thin in general?

Thin in general. I also don't want it to be a residual sugar bomb at the opposite end of the spectrum either. For something with maple and barrel presence I want it to have a meatier backbone and this beer isn't it.

Magnify cans hit One Stop in Haverhill. Apparently being distro’d now by Night Shift. Cans were already a month old unless they dropped a couple of weeks ago and I missed them. I love their beer but hopefully it’s only quarterly so they don’t end up sitting around like TG.

There have been several drops so might be from earlier one.

Does anyone have a secret spot near Arlington/Belmont/Cambridge/Lexington that has the new Tilquin Cassis and Myrtille? I’ve come up empty so far.

Does anyone know what bourbon county variants Massachusetts will get this year?

Stopped in (very randomly) at The City in Plaistow last weekend. I had never been in and had a few minutes to kill, so I went to see what they had.

A ton of F-W brown boxes for $9.99. A bunch of Oxbow cans/bottles. I walked away with Farmhouse Pale Ale (a beer I never see). Definitely going to be my new beer store.

I will say this: If you see the Two-Year Reserve anywhere. Buy it. It's incredible (but split it three or fours ways because it did a number on us this past weekend).

I'm guessing it will be the standard base + the most common 1-2 variants. Wheatwine and maybe Rye?

Just read that Founders lawsuit article. That defense is the most amazing thing I've ever read which involves beer. I just want to see the judges face when they heard/hear it for the first time

Edit: Apparently they reached a settlement. Case has been dropped which means it never happened and we can go on and buy CBS in bulk this year! Except in CT where half the state will not be getting it due to a fuck up.
