Yes. It's solid and can conditioned. It reminds me of what I'd imagine a rustic lager to look and taste like. There's also some flavor similarities to Table Beer.

What do you mean by "rustic lager"? I've heard the term used by people before, and I think I know what is meant by it, but I'm just curious what you mean by it (partly so I know what to expect from their Pilsner)? Any German comparisons?

It looks like a turbid juice bomb and is what I'd imagine a pils to resemble before modern brewing technology. I've also never had a can conditioned lager before so I'm sure that doesn't help clarity. It's a lovely beer nonetheless.

Old school pilsners were very clean/clear. Before pilsners, many beers were not drank out of class due to the appearence, but when people started drinking pilsners, they started drinking out of glass because they were so nice to look at.

This above is based on memory (I think Iread it in one of my beer books)

Based on my experience hanging out in the Germany forums, this is true. I want to say @drtth has more info on this.

If it’s not going to be clear it is probably more of a Kellerbier than a real true Pilsner. But then no one would buy it because even less people know what the hell that is. Plus Pils is slowly becoming the cool new beee to drink, might even catch up to fruited kettle sours eventually.

Got one at the Wegmans in Medford for that price. They had about 10 left.

Shoot. I saw this today at Julios and didn't pick it up. Sounds excellent. I get tired of looking everything up on Untappd as I walk down the cooler. Should have done that in this case!

Just stumbled on 3 different offerings from Beer'd at cbc rozzie...frank & berry, already taken, and a pale ale whose name I can't remember. These guys really make some of the best IPA in new england can't believe they're showing up in Boston.

never had 'already taken' until today. Knockout.

Same here. I grabbed a 4 pack each of Already Taken and Frank & Berry. I thought Frank & Berry was amazing. I love me some Mosiac and this was right up there with the best Mosiac beers I've had. I would like to see more Beer'd stuff around for sure.

Nothing rare or anything, but I grabbed some St. Bernardus Prior 8 at Wegman's yesterday because I wanted a great Belgian dubbel and it's a great Belgian dubbel.

The Beer’d Eight Days A Week single hopped Citra pale ale that popped up last week was great.

Grabbed a Proclamation Derivative Galaxy 4pk at rapid. It's pretty nice but a little thin. Would've liked it amped up from a pale ale to an IPA. Typical galaxy but am u picking up somethibg minty?

Also grabbed a San Adams lager 12 pk to see what their pils, Keller and helles are like. $11 for the 12 so not too shabby

Damn these are indeed awfully tasty. As others have said, it scratches more of a kellerbier* sort of itch than a pilsner itch per se, but I'll be looking out for them in the future.

God help us if 'hazy pilsners' finally break the style through to mainstream appeal. I can hear the anguished screams on the main board already......

*two or three years ago i didn't even know what a kellerbier was, so I feel kind of like a douchebag tossing the term around super loosely like that. But I love 'em now so what are you gonna do? :stuck_out_tongue:

How long before we see the first DDH kellerbier with Lactose? It is the OG hazy, hoppy beer you need to drink fresh....
